LFMFI - Ladies Fighting Male Factor Infertility!

I am looking to buddy up with some ladies experiencing male factor infertility.

Here is my story:
DH is 32 and I am 29. We have been TTC for about 6 months now. We just found out that DH has a small left varicocele (varicose veins), which overheats the sperm. His semen analysis showed very good count and motility, but poor morphology (99% abnormal).
DH has to do another SA, after which our family doctor will refer us to both a urologist and a fertility specialist. Surgery may be an option, but the success rates are uncertain. IUI might be an option. I am hoping we don't have to go the IVF route. Right now we have to decide whether or not to try the surgery, even though it may not help. Big decision...
Right now we are leaning toward the surgery first, but we want to hear what the urologist has to say!
This is a very difficult and emotional decision. I don't want to go through this alone!
If you are experiencing male factor infertility, please join me. We can beat this together!
I want to hear your story!
Lots of ladies!
Jazzy

m husband had very low sperm count, they said less than 3% was good enough to conceive and we pretty much had no chance to conceive naturally. He had his vericocel surgery then was deployed to Afghanistan the next month. a year later he came back and had a sperm checked and he sperm count is completely normal now!!! The doctor said that it can take around a year to take full effect but you can still keep having gains up to two years after the surgery. remember that it takes 3 months to make new sperm so what he is eating now will effect what he makes 3 months from now. That is why they cant have a SA until 3 months after the surgery. but even then it is not giving him much time to make a lot of improvements.we are still ttc so im thinking i am having problems somewhere now, but good news about DH!!!! My husbands SA was low in the areas that was effected by the vericocel like mobility so the surgery was perfect for him. Thanks and good luck.
