So tomorrow DR told me to come in and do Ultrasound and blood work 1st thing in the morning.
They will check if I ovulated or not.

Question. I've been sick (allergies) the last few days and I'm supposed to ovulate either Sunday or Monday. I've read and we've talked before about how a guys sperm count can be affected by illness or high temperature. Do you think our cycle or ovulation can be affected by illness too???

So I got my blood work and ultrasound today. I have to follicles on my right ovary 11 and 13 mm and one on the left one 12 mm. Today is CD #12.
It does not look like I ovulated yet. But my LH base levels are high (basically they are at pre-surge level) so that is why my OPKs are so weird and unpredictable.
They told me to stop using OPKs and come in on Monday morning to re-do blood work and ultrasound.

This is my first post but I'm going crazy not telling anyone! Hubby and I have been trying 3.5yrs for our 1st with no luck. Just got funding for a free IVF cycle on Nhs but decided to try iui first as it seemed slightly more natural. Well, not really but hey, lol!
I got diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the hips so trying has been difficult for us with me on crutches every time I have a flare up, but we were doing everything right. Turns out I get too many cysts each month which makes my cycle vary from 18days-36days so we needed help pinpointing ovulation so I could come off my pain meds.
We had our first insemination on Mon 1st Oct! The ovidrel injection put me back on crutches ( my hormones make my hips worse but this one is a real kicker) but I'm feeling more positive than I have in years.
Since 3dpiui have has nausea and increased watery discharge. At 5dpiui the twinges began and today uterus feels kind of...heavy?
Anyone had any symptoms like these that led to pregnancy?

Me beta is Monday morning. We got a positive on a digital test today. What a wonderful feeling reading the words pregnant on the test. So excited!! I did have mild crying breakdown today for no reason at all, the emotions just flooded me and I couldn't handle it. A sign I guess that I am pregnant.

YAY! SMC i'm over the moon excited for you! It gives all us so much hope also! :) Can't wait to hear what your beta is.. will be interesting to see how many took! where are you and hubby at with the idea of 3? hoping for 2?

hi anithenanny, welcome. Those symptoms sound promising.. a little early I think, but very promising.. fxed for you! Can I ask what to do if you do get preg and your disorder? How difficult is that going to be on you? It's worth it, but it's a LONG 9 months too...Your a strong woman to be facing the problems you are! props!

Basia30, I'm happy to hear that you didn't O and there is still hope!! If they are able to see them, your still in the IUI game! :)

red78701, I read up a ton on allergy meds actually helping to keep your body from attacking the sperm.. but I am no expert.. there are lots of women that swear that is why they got preggo is because the antihistamine worked in more ways than one. thorntoj86, It's probabably a combo of both lol. So exciting! sounds like your are getting so close!!! keep us updated when you hear more, can't wait to hear!! SubQ? is that the ones in the stomach?

AFM: Supression check point went great.. everything where it should be, and start stims tomorrow! I'm worried... do all you guys have to mix up your shots before you take them? OH BOY... i can do this!! First blood draw for me is Tuesday.. ALso met an awesome girl when I went up that so far is on the same exact schedule as me!! she was super sweet too, so hopefully we can meet up when we go to appointments and go through it together! I'll check in soon.. hope things are well with all and your weekend is awesome! ;)

I went to a RESOLVE support group today and so glad I did! I didn't want to leave, it was the first time I could TALK to people. Someone mentioned Circle + Bloom, it was the first I'd heard of it. They have a guided meditation series for people doing IUI/IVF. I'm going to get it. I wanted to mention it here in case someone else hadn't heard of it.

5dpiui and I have some spotting tonight, what do you think, I have my fingers crossed. Wonder if I should stay home tommorow?! Maybe today will be enough?

Basia, your ovulation can't be far away if the LH surge is up

Red, I am confident that being sick can delay ovulation. When I have a bad migraine episode my Ovulation is later. Also if you are taking an antihistamine I'm pretty sure that can upset conception and they are a NO if you get pregnant. I've done a load of googling on medications because I take a migraine drug. I had to drop some analgesic's and refuse cold and flu stuff that goggling confirmed ruined conception chances. A llittle bit of discomfort may get better results, I only take my meds when I am desperately in agony. I saw a specialist last pregnancy to double check my migraine med, I would do the same if I had allergies.

The Bendryl tablets might be worth checking out but you don't want to confuse them with rohbatussin (Cough syrup Benadryl) as I have heard of people not taking the plain kind and this preventing conception.

Believe_ I used circle bloom meditations this cycle. I couldn't believe how much they helped me relax. Look for a coupon though they aren't cheap.

Tubal_ we are hoping for whatever God wants for us. Three would be difficult both with pregnancy, certain preterm birth, NICU time, and then handling three with just the two of us at home. I work as a.labor and delivery nurse and I can see the.preterm babies and the NICU babies and I don't know how.I would be handling that with my own. I worry about all the complications that can happen that are Inc risk with multiples, doing IVF, and even with having PCOS and the problems that can go wrong. But I am excited to finally be a.mother and will do everything in my power to keep however many babies I am carrying safe an healthy.
