New Year's Kick Off!

In order to keep myself sane during my TWW (12/21-01/04) I'm starting this list for ladies who will be testing or starting a new cycle in the new year!

Let me start off by confessing that I am a POAS addict and my name is Lyn. I live in Italy and my husband is in the military so our TTC months can be quite varied... So far over the last yer we've only really had 4 good chances since he was gone. I'm really hoping that this is my cycle but if not we'll keep trying right up until DH gets on the plane to deploy!

We're TTC #2 after a MC in October of 2010 and I'm now 25 years old... I have PCOS and weight issues.

Let's spread the !

Hoping for my Janury 4th!! (But I know I'll be testing on the 1st)

Here's to keeping AF away!!

Thanks for the info on the SI, ladies!!

I think my primary issue may be a LDP, or my lack of a boost in my progesterone in accordance w/pregnancy. With both of my miscarriages, low progesterone has been a key factor. My doc increased my dosage from 200mg to 400mg (upon BFP) so hopefully that helps on my next go-round. I've also been taking a B100 complex as I read that it could help w/LDP and progesterone development. Clearly I am producing enough to have regular periods, but not enough to sustain a pregnancy.

@knicole - I'm not symptom-tracking either and just trying to be sensitive to when I may be O'ing (or not). Either way, I plan to start 'getting it in' tonight so we shall see what happens! LOL

Well ladies, no news Dr called me before I even went in. I appearantly have a bacteria in my bladder that never really went away since who knows. I have to start stronger antibiotics as the ones they've been giving me the bacteria isn't affected by it, it's resistant. Super bug here we come!!! I asked about pregnancy and she said in 2 weeks when I come back in to have another culture done she'll do a urine test *sad face* I wanna know now!!!! I think I am going to run out to the $ store and pick up a couple of cheapies and test in the am tomorrow. That, I hope should be enough time for some hcg to make it to my urine if it was ib, at least I hope.

Hey everyone! We are on page 14!!! Looks like we will have to start a new forum soon since I think you have to stop at 15 if I read it correctly?

Anyway, looks like there is a lot of activity on the brink and hopefully we will being seeing more 's in the next coming weeks. I am so excited for everyone and it is awesome to see all the info being passed along to help each other. There are some seriously detailed regimens some of you have been on and so glad it worked!

@lobe - I am so anxious to see another post from you!!!

AFM - called my OB today and got the "official" confirmation that I am preggo! Yay! My actual doctor wasn't in to discuss the hormone level results with me today so I am waiting for that phone call tomorrow along with setting up my first appointment.

In other news, I was so excited because I had a great birth center picked out to deliver the little one and they called me today and said they have closed the center after 25 years! It is temporary...they are building a brand new facility...RIGHT in the city where I live...like down the street...like I could WALK there...but she doesn't think it will be done in time for my birth. SO, she said they will still take me on as a client but I would have to agree for now that unless something amazing happens, I will definitely be a home birth. I actually don't mind that...I am really only worried about freaking out my neighbors (I live in an apartment right now) for what could be hours on end depending on how long / torturous my labor is. I know I can leave a note on their doors warning them but still. So, I don't know. DH flew out for work today and we will have to discuss this weekend when he gets home.

Other than that, still have sore bbs. I actually had some pain in my right abdomen last night. It felt concentrated...nothing too painful. I read that it could be the ligaments stretching. This morning I woke up with very restless legs that felt like they had low circulation. Doing better now.

So that's it! Sorry this post was so long and mostly about me. Hope you all are having a FABULOUS week so far! Tonight one of my girlfriends is coming over to watch the second half of "More The Business of Being Born" with me. She is going to start trying in a couple months!

Have a good day!

XO

Saw we were typing at the same time lobe! My goes out to you! So, this may mean nothing but if you are going to get a test...Don't get Clear Blue Easy. They are little bastards...excuse my language. Me and CB are not friends. I took THREE of them and got almost nothing and then took a First Response and got my BFP right away then followed up with a Clear Blue Digital.

Either way, I hope you can get what you are looking for and get some clarity soon. Sorry to hear about your infection and hope it goes away quickly! I know NOTHING about medical stuff but I am wondering if your infection could skew the test somehow? I dunno. I might sound like an idiot to a professional right now lol.

I wish they would just give you a blood test on the house. I would if I were there with you. Well I mean, I wouldn't do it MYSELF...I would take you to my doctor so you could pretend you were me and get it done.

Lol Btrflyluv I know what you mean about the blue dye tests. I took three diff brands and all of them gave me a faint bfp but EVERY other pink test was bfn!!! I don't trust those anymore.

And about the uti idk if it would affect the test as it would prob be listed as one of the things that mess up a true result. And as for you taking me to your Dr and me being you!!! Lmao hahahahahaha right?!?!? That would be awesome... I wanna thank you and everyone else, this forum has helped come my neeves a lot, I know it seems like I am not rly calmed but trust me I would be a way bigger mess right now. The internet sucks for info, at least for what I type in to search, everything else under the sun pops up.

Stronger antibiotics and NO bloody pregnancy test? Did they make you pee in a cup or they called you before you went in?? What antibiotics are you on now?

Far our! As if you needed more problems. pfffffffft stupid stupid stupd.

I had a super bug a while back. Hell scary time! At the time I said I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but if I was having a bad day, truth be told, I would.

I had some horrid stomach pains and diarrhea (sorry TMI but hey, we're all friends, right? :P) for about a week. And one night I decided to pour myself a glass of red wine and relax. Only, seconds after taking my first sip, I was on the toilet. It literally went straight through me. I told a friend and she ordered me to go to ER.
My husband was at work and he was in a meeting at the time. We'd just moved to this country town a month earlier.
I bundled up my then 2yo daughter and headed to the hospital. I was hunched over from the pain and managed to walk us to the ER.....there was no doctor there and they told me to drive myself to the medical centre!! I said a few words of my own and then drove to the medical centre. They let me straight in and then did an ECG (I complained of heart pain too) and said they thought something was seriously wrong and I had to go to the bigger hospital an hour away. But coz we're in the middle of bumf**k It would be quicker for my husband to pick me up and drive us there than order an ambulance (this town had one ambulance and it was already at the other town)

SO, hubs picks me up and takes me to the hospital. I'm admitted right away and they put me on a light diet thinking I have kidney stones (seriously, these people are idiots) and instead, on day 2, I spent a solid (and I'm not even joking here) 6 hours on the toilet. My guts were so bad that anytime I took a sip of water it would come straight back out the other end.

They finally decide to do a colonoscopy, oh joy! At least I didn't need any prep LOL I was empty.
Turns out I had ulcerative colitis (old mans colon). They put me on steroids and some other things and put me in another ward. About 2 hours later, one of the doctors from the team looking after me came storming into my room, yelling at the nurse, asking how many steroids I'd taken and then he was on the phone and he looked really panicked. I'm thinking WTF?????

The nurse is told do NOT give her anymore steroids she has ;alkdjf;aoiwhej;rha;ljdf << well that's what it sounded like to me, bloody medical jargon. I'm put on antibiotics instead.

The next day the team arrives with their head honcho doctor and I say to him ... Tell it to me straight and tell it to me in English. He explains I have Clostridium Difficile (C.DIff). It is a super bug that has eaten it's way through my guts and had they kept me on steroids OR had I not gone in when I did, my organs would have started shutting down, one by one.

Weirdly, it's usually caused by antibiotics, yet it's treated by antibiotics...the strongest ones out there. The danger of catching it on time is the bugs growing immune to the big bad antibiotics, coz if that's the case, then ya knda screwed. Luckily, mine went away after two doses of antibiotics. First flagyl (the big daddy's right hand man) but when that didn't work I went back to the specialist, who informed me that he'd gotten the results back from my test and I had a virulent strain of it. So I had to go on vancomycin.

It was kinda funny when I got it. My husband's mate is a pharmacist and he kept looking at me and my packet of antibiotics like we were Gods. Vanco is the big daddy, the penicillin of today he tells me. He was in awe. It was a little weird.

They have no idea how I got it, but washing your hands is a biggie.

This is one reason why those gels and stuff that you clean your hands with that get rid of 99.9% of germs are no good. C.Diff is in the .1% of germs it does not protect you against. You need to wash your hands thoroughly with soap. When I had DD all I used was those gels as it was easier, and it's likely I caught it off her or touching something in public and then eating.

I love to tell stories, as you can tell LOL I'll shut up now. I need coffee anyway.

I'll be back when I'm more aware of being awake and stuff.

xx

I'm so excited to see all of the BFP's..and I think a lot of us are ovulating this week!? Yay!!!

@MommyBandy~Please keep us informed if we have to start a new thread. This has kept me sane through this cycle.

AFM: Finished the Femara on CD7. Ended up in the hospital on CD8 due to a migraine and then having a horrible reaction to the meds they gave me for the migraine. Elevated BP & tachycardia. I had to have 3 EKG's. It was not fun. Then, DH decides to drop the bomb that he doesn't think he's ready for a second baby 2 days before my CD12 U/S!! I was so, SO furious and hurt. We had talked about it over & over. He said he didn't really want to start "trying" until April..WTF!? Suffice it to say, we haven't really been on good terms...Then this morning, he woke me up and said "Go to the u/s. See if the Femara worked. We'll go from there." Well..it DID work!! 2 beautiful follicles, one measuring 18x6 & one 17x9. So, tomorrow we do the Ovidrel trigger shot, and BD to our hearts content...And my RE's nurse knows that I'm a POAS-addict, and she said that the trigger should be out of my system by 10dpo..and I can start testing then. Hopefully..DH is still down with this plan..But if not..There's always next month...

Im disliking my phone right now. So many of you I want to responed to but I cant go back and see what was said and by who. Lol

@Chazzy- OMG!!!! That is super scary!!! Im so sry you had to go throight that. I sure hope I dont rly get one. All I know is this uti sucks and if I had even half of what you had wrong I prob would have asked to be put down. I dislike being sick and boy thats sick..

I wwnt to get the meds and my stupid public health insurance didn't cover them, $46!!! For a few pills!!! I have to wait now to get diff ones that are covered.

So a bit of an update, still nada! Its been 24 hrs now. tomorrow I will be exactly 2 Weeks late. I didnt go to the store for tests as i've been nominated as bbysitter for my neices and nephew off and on all day. My sister is a CNA and works all day and her dh is a stay at home dad and he had errands earlier but tonight he thinks he needs to go to the bar to play pool lol he is in a leage so i'll give him that.

I hope to keep this thread going, I have enjoyed chatting with everyone. It's exciting to talk about this stuff with someone. Dh gets either disgusted or scared about it. I dont wanna keep talking about it and annoy others about it. I think about it constantly!!!
