The Wannabe Mamas!

I am starting this thread for a group of ladies that already frequently communicate through journals and PMs. Since we already stalk one another's journals and countdown pages... I thought it might be nice for us to have a discussion forum, where we can frequently communicate our day to day ups and downs. Please re-introduce yourself and give us a summary of your journey to date!

My story:
DH and I have been TTC #1 since June 2012. In October, we found out that DH has a varicocele causing poor morphology (1-2%). This makes it difficult for us to conceive on our own. We are on some looong wait lists to see specialists. We need to see a urologist about possible surgery and a fertility specialist about possible IUI or IVF. Right now we are loking at 8-10 month wait times, but we might be able to get DH into a urologist much sooner if we can get into a clinic in the next province over. We are currently working toward making that happen! The surgery has about 50/50 odds of working. But we are hoping it works for us!

Ah Melissa I so feel your pain as well :( BUT I have heard rumors that Congress has repealed that bill and taxes will be going back to normal status. For God's sake it's a challenge just to pay for food and the governent did this!!!! Are they for real crazy??? I hope it's true because it has affected too many people too severely me included!! I so noticed that difference but hopefully fingers crossed for the government that they realize their error!

Jazzy I so agree with Melissa we don't mind you posting and sharing your experiences :) It's never an individual we are bitter towards I thinks it's just our own circumstances that is the challenge. You've been there as well sitting there asking why me what have I done. So it's never directed towards the person just life itself. I think all of us here well all of us better be Thrilled for you!!! Besides Karma can be a real bitch lol and hopefully one day we all will be able to share stories and pics of our BFP's. Things are much much better with hubby :) I really thing he had a hard reality check and he's been wonderful the last few days. Playing more with the kids and better with me :)

Well I think my body is trying to get itself ready to ovulate :) so I am hoping within the next week will be the big O day! Still not doing any extreme measures but still gonna give our best. I see my endo next Tuesday and ob the following thursday. I am hoping for some answers soon :)

Okay ladies.....listen up listen up!

My husband and I sat down last night and had a heart to heart talk....no fighting no arguing. We are going to wait until at least summer time to TTC again until we see how our finances are.....and what happens with these new tax laws. Hubby said he wants to look for a second side job and I am thinking about taking up an offer to be an adjunct professor for the graduate program I graduated from and still am a part of in respect to being a cooperating teacher for the interns. It would help us build our savings and feel more confident bringing a second child in to our family.

I know I was really upset a few days ago....but when we received our paychecks....$44 taken out of mine and $50 taken out of my husband's.....it really hit home for me. We will greatly miss that money over time....and count on it. So, if we can figure out a way to get our bills down....and bring in some extra cash with some side jobs.....I will feel better about TTCing come summer time.

However....do NOT think I'm going anywhere!! I'm still going to track my cycles and track BD....as well as track you ladies!! I still have yet to come down to "not pregnant" with my levels and my never-ending bleeding is still around....so I have got problems to vent about!

Melissa that is GREAT to hear :) ! I knew it would work out with you two :) When your in a good relationship with the person your meant to be with there is NOTHING in this world that can destroy it!! Maybe it is a good thing! Get your body and mind healed along with outside annoyances such as our stupid tax laws lol and summer will be here before you blink your eyes :) and you'll be back in the game more than ready to go mentally and physically!!! I'm right there with you I am certainly not preventing but I do have to see a few docs and get back on the proper meds then I'll be right here with you come spring hopefully we'll still have time for that 2013 baby :)

Melissa i am glad things are looking up for you!! Its always better when you are on the same page as your DH.

Did you know? I was doing some research about blood clotting disorders and low progesterone.....ya I was doing more research on what I might have that could be causing my early miscarriages. Guess what I found out that I didn't know......ahem!!!.......drum roll......:)

I found out that taking progesterone supplements can normalize blood clotting disorders. Low progesterone can be the cause of blood clotting in some women. I was like WHAA?? I knew you could have one or the other but I didn't think they were linked. I know this might not be the case for a lot of people but i was kind of shocked I hadn't heard of that before. Hey, maybe I am TOTALLY wrong but....I am so excited to start my progesterone after ovulation, in fact, I think I am gonna forget about the whole baby aspirin thing and just stick to progesterone. I dunno if it will work. But I found it very interesting.
Started getting O pains today, hopefully here in the next few days I will get that lovely dark line on a opk.

Britt--interestingly enough, my sister had a blood clotting issue AND low progesterone. Had to take progesterone cream along with baby asprin. Hmm! Your research seems to be proving right with at least one real case!

Michelle--Thanks! I am gearing up for a 2014 baby....14 = Valentines Day = Love.....I think I'm going to go with that one! LOL. I'm still "pregnant" and not ovulating...so I think it might be months before I even get back on track!

How is everyone doing?

Kalie....you still here? Haven't heard from you in a while! Your chart looks great!

Hi ladies!

Just thought I would drop in to say that my first scan went well. The baby is in the right place and a heart beat was detected!

Still not clear on my due date... It is either Aug 28 based on my LMP or Sept. 3 based on my ovulation date.

Hope all is well with you! I still think of you and hope to see another BFP in this group soon!
