The Wannabe Mamas!

I am starting this thread for a group of ladies that already frequently communicate through journals and PMs. Since we already stalk one another's journals and countdown pages... I thought it might be nice for us to have a discussion forum, where we can frequently communicate our day to day ups and downs. Please re-introduce yourself and give us a summary of your journey to date!

My story:
DH and I have been TTC #1 since June 2012. In October, we found out that DH has a varicocele causing poor morphology (1-2%). This makes it difficult for us to conceive on our own. We are on some looong wait lists to see specialists. We need to see a urologist about possible surgery and a fertility specialist about possible IUI or IVF. Right now we are loking at 8-10 month wait times, but we might be able to get DH into a urologist much sooner if we can get into a clinic in the next province over. We are currently working toward making that happen! The surgery has about 50/50 odds of working. But we are hoping it works for us!

Hi all! welcome new ones!

Well I can officially say I've never been SO EXCITED that af finally showed!!! after this very long, odd, confusing cycle..... I will start clomid Friday! I'm calling the doctor now to see if they will up it to 100mg because I didnt ovulate on the 50mg last month...

I hope all is well today with everyone!

I'm wearing my "PREGGERS" shirt today that DH got my from our last pregnancy that ended in mc.... I feel happy and sad at the same time! I do have a zip up vest over the words, so my mother doesnt get to excited.

I just looked at my chart and if we get pregnant this cycle we could find out on Valentines day!!!!!! PLEASE LORD!!!!

Married 4-25-09 Started TTC March 2011 First angel baby May 2012 @ 5 weeks Second angel baby October 2012 @ 7 weeks After our 2nd mc i found out im Rh- 5th round of clomid. We just found out that DH has low motility and 0% morphology.

I mean I do have some preseed left just not thrilled about but I'll use if I gotta :)

Well ladies I kinda got some excititng news!! I was so afraid my new insurance company wouldn't cover my doc and consider it a pre-exisitng condition and I'd be screwed......BUT I found out today they did!!!! I am good to go with all my docs :) such a relief!!

Welcome to our little group newcomers!!!

Welcome Becca! So nice to have a newcomer to our group!! I don't know what I'd do without these wonderful ladies during this time!

Well, my temps are BLAH and no sore nips, boobs, etc.! I didn't ovulate......damn OPK test! LOL. However, I did go for my weekly Wednesday blood draw! I will update all tomorrow on my beta hcg level. Here's to hoping it's WELL below last week's at 13.8!!!

Michelle..great news on your insurance! What a huge relief that is!! Unsure on the CM and Clomid....PreSeed would sound like the perfect solution! :)

Kalie....woot woot to 100mg of Clomid! I so hope that works this month!

Lisa....have you tested yet? Feeling any symptoms??

According....did you end up ovulating? How much baby asprin are you taking? Are you taking it at night before bed? Or in the morning?

Britt and Jazzy.....how are you ladies??

Did I miss anyone?

Hi everyone!! How is every body? I hope all is well, But I guess its time for an update here: This month I think I double O'd, both my ovaries were fighting for the honor and I am just hopeful thats what happened as I felt SUPER O pains from BOTH within 24 hours :) I am 4 DPO and i feel really good and I wonder if its from the progesterone cream? More energy less crampy and less foggy minded( at least compared to my last 8 cycles during LP). I hope thats a good sign that it's working. I didn't know what to expect as its my first time using it. It is now my happy cream Feeling really good about this cycle and hoping for a BFP for my birthday....maybe its just the progesterone cream affect making me so calm and happy lol... It has been MONTHS since having so much energy during my luteal phase, its almost weird.

I'm taking 81 mg of aspirin at night :)

I just got told yesterday by a support group on facebook that I should try adding in b6 to lengthen my luteal phase because it's on the short side for a possible luteal defect (i'm only 10 days) any of you ladies have that as a possible issue??

I think I did o possibly on both sides, but not positive as I'm not doing my BBT this month as I've heard it's not reliable until after my first AF following mc. I'm wondering if it is because of the aspirin that I saw signs of fertile window since I didn't notice it for the first cycle after my other losses.... here's to hoping my rainbow is right around the corner
Loads of to all of us and to all the newcomers

Thanks for the welcome ladies, it's so nice to have someone to talk to who has been thru what I went thru.
I have a question.......I've been taking a Vitamin B supplement because I've heard it is good for TTC, in addition to my pre-natal. I also take D3, and a baby aspirin.
I have Maca, Royal Jelly, EVP, Vitex, all of which I'm not taking right now. My question is, what's your opinions on what I'm taking, should I be taking less or more?
I know that no one is a Dr, I just want opinions and suggestion from ladies who are going thru what I am. Oh, and what about soy isoflavones??

Thank you anyone who replies, I know it's a long post:(

Becca....no worries on the length of your post! We love long posts!! :)

Unsure on the vitamins and supplements, as I only took a multi-vitamin prior to pregnancy and a prenatal with DHA/Omega 3s while pregnant. Now that I'm not pregnant, I'm not as strict....and take a multi-vitamin with 400mg of Folic Acid now and then. I also take cranberry tablets because I'm prone to a UTI with my constant bleeding for almost 12 weeks post surgery (D&C). I've been wearing pads for almost THREE months! I hate it!

I'm sure what you're taking will not hurt anything....only helps. Helps prepare your body and keep it in tip-top shape. I think other ladies on here have tried the soy....and maybe the Vitex and B complex vitamins....??

According....sounds like our bodies are trying so hard to readjust after m/c. Until then, I'm trying hard to build our savings....so focusing on that has helped (besides trying to get ready physically). Selling on eBay....picking up extra side jobs....definitely working summer school! I'm waiting to hear back on teaching for the grad program I graduated from....I guess with budget cuts....I might not be able to teach my class during the fall semester. Damn cuts!

Can I ask you ladies a personal question? Who is over 30? I noticed that as I enter my early 30s, I'm just more.....sexual. Honestly, in my late 20s, once every SIX MONTHS would do it for me. Now, once a day suits me just fine! Hormonally I just feel different...more comfortable and confident. Wondering if any ladies here over 30 felt that? Sure helps for BDing but....just in general wondering if that's a normal thing?

Becca persoanlly I don't think I'd get into the vitex, maca, or whatever. You seem regular well once you recover from the miscarriage and you've conceived before so I wouldn't mess with those herbs. Sometimes they can have the opposite effect on someone who's pretty regular like may delay your O date. I think what your taking is the best you can do :) especially D3! I've its so important for us and most are deficient in it and that it acts like more of a hormone than vitamin. I just stick to the prenatal, B, D3 and aspirin that you've been doing. Frustrating as it is you'll get back on your regular schedule :) as for frustrating try not O'ing at all!!!! I'm on cd30 no O in sight :( Have ob appointment today and have beed taking meds regularly so fingers crossed those two will get me back on track :)

Have a good morning and a great day ladies :)

Oh I forgot the soy may work for you but lol there is always a but huh Soy can agravate certain disorders like per chance if you have hypothyroidism then soy is a huge no no! I would google it to check out what else it can affect but give it a try some swear by it. I've tried it and I didn't get any of the side effects it mentioned. I just can't take it anymore because of my hypothyroidism :( lol they don't like each other!
