The Wannabe Mamas!

I am starting this thread for a group of ladies that already frequently communicate through journals and PMs. Since we already stalk one another's journals and countdown pages... I thought it might be nice for us to have a discussion forum, where we can frequently communicate our day to day ups and downs. Please re-introduce yourself and give us a summary of your journey to date!

My story:
DH and I have been TTC #1 since June 2012. In October, we found out that DH has a varicocele causing poor morphology (1-2%). This makes it difficult for us to conceive on our own. We are on some looong wait lists to see specialists. We need to see a urologist about possible surgery and a fertility specialist about possible IUI or IVF. Right now we are loking at 8-10 month wait times, but we might be able to get DH into a urologist much sooner if we can get into a clinic in the next province over. We are currently working toward making that happen! The surgery has about 50/50 odds of working. But we are hoping it works for us!

Melissa, my mom breeds boston terriers and they do quite often have this problem. Its not dangerous or anything. They are sensitive little things. my mom has to monitor their food too to keep them from leaving surprises all over the house :)
And Michelle...AWESOME quote! Exactly what I need to do lol

Melissa... No he doesn't, he's a very finicky eater though, I have to be around him to eat or he will eat leftovers from my Great Dane if there is any! Lol he does the backwards sneeze? Sorry to hear about Stella! I hope it's nothing to serious!
4years ago he started throwing up and beening very non-social which you lnow for a boston is odd! i took him to the vet and he had the worst heartworms the vet had seen... I felt so bad! We did do the treatment, vet said he will slow down and night not live as long as the norm (he was 2) but holy moly we think it made him much stronger haha I don't think anything could break him down!

Britt! Great news on hcg! Like the others said you only being 11dpo and hcg at 15 is pretty good! Keep us posted!!!

Thanks girls! Yes, Stella does the backwards sneeze....poor thing! I often rub her belly or back until she is done....seems to help her. She is awesome though....very protective of me....will wedge herself between hubby and I on the couch and will jump at him until he backs away from me if hubby and I hug in the kitchen. She's my girl....spoiled probably....super social....smart....and sometimes acts like a big dog in a small dogs body!

Thanks again for the advice on my furbaby!

Britt....how long has your mom bred Bostons? Are they the only breed she does?

For quite a few years, she also does Golden retrievers, yorkies (yorkshire terriers) and now Goldendoodles lol. I think she is a little crazy doing all those breeds lol.
Anyways, I am going in here in a half an hour to get my second Beta done. Sore bbs, high bbt still, it went up again to .1 to 98.7 I had a dream last night about holding two babies one boy one girl. I hope its a good sign and that Beta comes back in the normal range for doubling

Don't worry I am not going anywhere! I am far from being in the safe yet. I have an appointment with a specialist on the 29th (it was supposed to be for my infertility ) I think they might do another beta then. I am still nervous something might happen. I am thinking they might just start me on progesterone suppositories this weekend or do the progesterone test at my appointment. Okay.....How is EVERY ONE ELSE doing???????? I want to hear more about every one else! My drama has been extreme the last couple of days lol

Britt....so glad you will still be here for us! You rock! Will you take any more hpts? Cant wait to see that dark test line! How are you feeling? Any different than your other pregnancies?

I feel bad even talking about me....LOL....I want the focus to be on you!

But since you asked...

I have actually not had the best week....health-wise....went to the ER on Wednesday early early morning for some chest pain. Had a few bouts of this the last month....so it scared the shit out of me. Long story short...and 2 doctors appointments later...I *might* have fibromyalgia. I have had joint pain since my pregnancy in the fall....sore finger joints, elbow joints, knee joints and inflammed cartilage in my chest (ribs and sternum). I am beyond scared about it....as my cousins have it (fibro)..and it has really messed them up with intense pain. My other cousin developed MS during her pregnancy....and was told that would be her last pregnancy....so I do know pregnancy can bring out certain things in a womans body. I am just in some pain...and the soreness in the chest stresses me out big time.

So....I am going for an echocardiogram on my heart in a few weeks and making my rheumotologist appointment first thing Monday. Until I get things figured out....TTC is 100% on hold until I know what is going on. Hubby breathes a sigh of relief but I am torn. I do get emotional about it....but I do thank God for our son. I am definitely blessed to have him but, I so terribly want to give him a sibling. Feel like a failure in that department...so he is pretty spoiled because of it. Hence my spoiled Boston Terrier!

So....*sigh*......thats my personal update.....enough of that!

Back to you Britt.....love you girl!
